Students and staff returned to school energised and ready to learn as Term 2 of 2026 kicked off with exciting new programmes.

Term 2 of the 2026 academic year is officially underway, and the energy at Shule Bora is palpable! Students and staff returned from the mid-term break refreshed and ready to dive into an action-packed term. The Head Teacher, Dkt. Amina Ramadhani Hassan, welcomed everyone back at the opening assembly, setting the tone for a term focused on academic achievement, creativity, and community spirit.

Term 2 brings with it several exciting new initiatives. Following the successful launch of our computer laboratory, ICT lessons are now part of the timetable for all classes from Standard 3 upwards. Additionally, we are launching a new Reading for Pleasure programme in partnership with the British Council Tanzania, which will provide each classroom with a small library of age-appropriate books in both Kiswahili and English. Every student in Standards 1–4 will have a dedicated 30-minute reading period three times per week outside of regular English lessons.

The term also sees the introduction of a new After-School Homework Support Club, open to all students from Standards 2–7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. This free service, run by our teaching staff on a rotating basis, is designed to support students who need extra guidance and to ease the pressure on parents who are unable to provide homework help at home. Term 2 looks set to be one of the most vibrant and rewarding terms yet. Welcome back, Shule Bora family!
